The image is clear and once you hit the IS button the quality is something I have not seen within this price range.
Following a aircraft in flight is astonishing and as long as you pan the IS compensates any real wobbles you might have.

Canon IS 18x50 Binocular review - If you are a regular user of binoculars and put up with the wobble when holding them, then the IS function on the Canon is a must have.
They are light enough to hand round the neck and easy to function when in use.
