V Festival Review

When I got to use the toliets they were generally clean for festival toilets and well stocked. Security guards monitoring the queues to stop jumpers was a good idea. Then sides on the JJB tent being open - this is a great idea - althought it was hot - its was no way as hot as it used to be. Loads of food stalls, lots of variety.

The lay out. I have been to every V since it started and the layout was the WORSE I have ever seen. The JJB was soooo far away from the V stage it took near on 25mins to get there during busy periods and was incredibly frustrating - also creating bottlenecks - to get to the JJB tent the space through the fences was about 4 meters and when it emptied out created a huge crowd not being able to filter through. This is very dangerous and on several occations I got very squashed. The V stage seemed to have a smaller crowd area than where it usually is placed - you would think the V stage being the busiest it should have the most space - plus where it usually is there is a natural slope making it easier to see the stage.

I go to V every year and always really enjoy it but every year more people attend but the facilities do not increase - i.e massive queues for the toliets and huge queues for the bar. Next year please can we have a few more toliets and more bars - the bar by the JJB stage was very small for the amount of people in that area.
