Good Points

In all the dozens of ohone calls I have dispairing had with this dreadful bank, I once came accross two really nice and understanding people. I think they left.

Bad Points

Poor service, having had all the forms checked at my local branch it took 3 months to set the account up, a further month to get a cheque book and further month to get a cheque card. Dire appauling only goes half way there.

General Comments

When you are setting up a new company the last thing you want is complicated banking. This is exactly what has been going on with my Nat West Business Bank account since April. I deposited £1000 in my business bank account the day I finally got the account numbers. I wasn ' t able to then access it for many weeks. I couldn ' t use any cards to book flights to attend meetings as the application form for them had been 'mislaid'. My allocated business manager was unavailable for weeks, paper and forms could not be found. My credit card took months to arrive, I had to run my business using my personal bank account for months. Now finally I think things are getting better and I haven ' t had to call the bank for over a month and I work out I can now pay myself back all my expenses (from stamps to printers, hotels and flights) from April to August from my business account as it has a healthy balance and I can't because I have applied for internet banking facilities in the last week, my telephone banking facility is frozen until I get my internet banking authorisation code - which they haven ' t sent me yet! So my personal bank account is now overdrawn and I have charges as I have been running my business from it without any income - my invoices are being paid into my business account and Nat West say they are only following their procedures and if I hadn ' t applied for Nat West business internet banking last week, I could have initiated the process using telephone banking. When did common sense and good old fashioned customer care cease?
