Soozi3's Review of Ben Elton, Past Mortem
19th Aug 2008
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- FormatPaperback
This was a most compelling read - not only addressing a sensitive subject but also bringing it to life in a novel that (I beg anyone to disagree) was totally 'unputdownable.' I was hooked from the first sentence and admired, not only the content but the characterization and plot from the word 'go.' It was genius!
Bad Points
The ending was predictable but only because I'm an avid fan of crime novels. I like to think I could write one too .......... one day.
General Comments
I feel it's important to note that I haven't been a fan of Ben Elton in a personal sense i.e. stand up... only because I found his personality overbearing, persistent and annoying at times but I can't argue that the man has a talent that can't be denied and his writing is an inspiration and to be perfectly frank... bloody fantastic. Thank you for the most amazing experience of true excellence!
