The staff went out of their way to try to make our stay enjoyable and although we had a few problems they tried really hard to please. The swimming pool was lovely.
Bad Points
I found the vegetarian food in the restaurant uneatable - I sent it back and was told I could not have another one cooked, the first one was hard and cold in the middle and I thought tasted vile so I sat and watched while my friends ate their dinner. Also they seem to think that vegetarians eat fish as on the vegetarian options there was tuna, oysters and salmon, this would in fact be a pesceterian menu! Also when we arrived we had not been given the rooms we had asked for on booking, although they did manage to change us. The kettle was covered in dust and the toiletries were not topped up after the first night.
General Comments
The location of the Celtic Ross Hotel is wonderful although I would not advise going if
A . If you are a true vegetarian
B . If they have a wedding on at the same time as when we went the guests spilled over into the bar area and took over and they also kept us up all night making noise and banging doors.
