No good points. There was nothing on site, that could not be viewed in better detail on-line.
Bad Points
Queued for ages to get in, although we were near the front of the queue. Why is it that it took more than half an hour for the staff to admit 3 people in front of us, but they took our money and we were through in less than 30 seconds? Once we were in, we found there was precious little to see and much was 'closed'. Even though it was early, there were soon more long queues to buy what we thought were over-priced, uninviting refreshments. There was no sense of urgency among the staff, or desire to please the customer. In our opinion this was profiteering at its worst.
General Comments
Both my wife and I agreed that this was the WORST day (hour) out to an "attraction", in over 50 years of our lives. ... and we found it so expensive... for nothing! We both felt that we had been cheated out of our hard earned money. In retrospect we feel that we should have requested a refund. Instead, I took my wife for a slap up Sunday lunch to make amends for such a bad day... and put it down to experience.
We then went to Wollaton Hall at Nottingham where there was SO MUCH MORE to see.. and FREE OF CHARGE!
