Bad Points

Booked with Easy Car, but at Malpensa Airport told I was using their affiliate LOCAUTO.


General Comments

The car was in good shape (brand new) and worked perfectly during the 10 day rental. Upon dropiing off at the airport, no one to receive the car in the parking lot - I personally inspected the car for damage - none. The gentleman at the desk told me it was not necessary to have anyone inspect the car with me, just return the keys. Within 1 week, a US$812 charge was found on my credit card (the entire rental was a little over US$1,000). I called LOCAUTO at Malpensa airport and they said it was for a scratch and that my insurance would pay - I asked them to email me photos of said damage. Once the photos arrived, it was impossible to see anything resembling damage. Word of warning - get a proof of no damage receipt when you return your car to this company - things like this are giant wastes of time and the immorality of a company allowing this is unforgivable. Now I have to pursue a lengthy process through Mastercard and my issuing bank to get this charge either waived or paid by insurance. Easy Car has not been helpful at all in resolving this issue - all the burden is on me - in my opinion what horrible companies these two (Easy car & LOCAUTO) are.
