Overall Rating
- Value for money

Always quick on the phones. I've had a couple of no-fault claims where others have run into the back of me and they have always been helpful, although the quality of the work done by their recommended repairers has left a lot to be desired and I've had to take the car back on numerous occasions to finish the job !! Next time I will forgo the loan car and shop around - I don't care if it does cost them more in the repair - I deserve to have a proper job done - we all do.
Bad Points
Not flexible. I bought a motorhome and rang for a quote. You'd think they would be interested in retaining long-standing, loyal customers but they simply and flatly said "we don't insure motorhomes". I was shocked and of course went elsewhere and will get a quote from the that other company when my L & V insurance is due for renewal as I may well get a two vehicle discount ?? Who will the losers be ?? It seems daft that companies constantly bombard us with sales literature and spend a fortune on advertising then simply throw away customers through intransigence. Any intelligent organisation would simply outsource wouldn't they ??
General Comments
Overall Liverpool Victoria are good but not as good as Landmark, the original company I was with before Liverpool Victoria bought them out.
I'm over 50 and have been tempted to go to companies like SAGA when they have mailed me offering to beat whatever I am currently paying but as soon as you ring them and ask what happens next year they won't extend the guarantee beyond this year, so I could save 10% this year and lose 50% or have the hassle of shopping around again next year, so overall, L & V are as good as I have had and as they say "if it 'aint broke - don't fix it"
