Situated between Keswick and Cockermouth not far from Bassenthwaite it is the ideal base for this part of the country. Also not far from Buttermere to the south and Whitehaven to the west. On a bus route to Keswick and Penrith so accessible by public transport. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment with wonderful views down the valley towards Skiddaw.
Bad Points
Temporay closure of restaurant during our stay.
General Comments
We have stayed at Derwent Lodge Country Hotel four times and intend coming back next year when hopefully the restaurant will be open again. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment with wonderful views down the valley towards Skiddaw.
