My safety catch came with a tiny dent in it which was disapointing but I thing that was because of bad handling at the gun room. The gun could have a bipod attatchment on it already which would be easyer then fitting one yourself. My pressure indicator is not aligned directly to the stock it is a tiny bit off centre but still it dosnt matter because it dosnt do anything to the performance and I can probly fix it easily but I dont want to take it apart. The magazine is a tiny bit tricky to use at first but if you just think for a minute you'll easily manage to use it properly. Remember, cock it then put the magazine in.
General Comments
The Daystate X2 is beautifully made with very nice curves and you can see that daystate have tried hard to get the best looks on all their guns by looking at this gun. It is built very strong, I have tried climbing over a fence well not a fence its a kind of tiny ladder thing and the top piece of wood broke and I fell straight down whacking the end of the gun on the fence thing very very hard and I didn ' t even look at it for a minute thinking the worst and it was completely unharmed it was amazing. The stock is very well carved and coloured, mine had a beautiful grain all over and is very hard and smooth. The stock has been very well placed on to the gun and the laser checks that have been engraved into the gun are very sporty looking and give a good impression on the stock. The barrel is very strong and sturdy and well attached. The trigger is very smooth and doesn ' t need very much pressure to fire. The built in silencer is nicely fitted on to the end of the gun and compliments the all round shape of the gun you can also attach another silencer onto the end of the original one which makes the gun extremely quiet I shoot it in front of my dog once I have cleaned the barrel which no pellet in the chamber and he doesn ' t even flinch he actually wags his tail which is strange as with my old spring gun he would run into the kitchen. The pressure chamber is satisfactory in giving enough shots. I do target shooting in my garden over 40 yards and I see no difference in pellet drop over this distance until the 85th shot (yes I am sad enough to count). It is outstanding in accuracy and has a very quick lock time as soon as you pull the trigger your pellet is out. The rubber but plate is very nicely made and across into your shoulder without any unwanted movement. The safety catch is in a brilliant place and can easy be switched off without making any noise to scare of animals if done correctly. The bolt is nicely made and feels nice on your fingers and can easily be cocked without a lot of force. The magazine is easy to use once you get started. It was cheap for what it is and is probly the best none electronic you can buy. It is brilliant for hunting in .22 I have killed first time with headshots over 50 yards with this gun. It is impressive you will not be disappointed. Very accurate, powerful if you have a FAC and well made. If you want an air rifle which can be used for every type of thing you like target shooting, hunting and treasuring and taking care of this is a perfect gun for you. it is simple to use because it isn ' t electronic and you don ' t need to worry about anything apart from giving it an oil every 6 months light oil (wd 40) and a polish every week and pumping it up and it will work for years well over the warranty.
