It has much better light output than the original mini maglite as well as having a much better light pattern. Candle mode is now usable without fear of breaking the bulb.
Poor light output at this price level. Beam focus pointless as spot is only marginally brighter than the center of the flood beam. Still lacks a tail switch, inexcusable at this price level. Only one brightness level.
This company is falling far behind the competition. In a market it once dominated it's products are consistently outshone buy it's competitors. At this price (mrrp) it's competing with Fenix and LED Lenser, both offering superior products for the same money. I bought one recently for £17 (rrp is £40) and had high expectations due to my fondness of the brand. I was left disappointed. I'm hoping it will fail soon as the other reviews suggest so I can get a refund. The original MM looks as poor compared to the MM LED as the MM LED does to my AA Fenix L2D Q5.
It barely compares to my single AAA Fenix L0D Q4.
Overall, too little too late for what has become a new market.
