Good Points

Everything; Clean pool + jacuzzi, brilliant location, friendly staff, good food at the hotel, clean rooms, comfortable, good entertainment in the evenings, friendly + safe resort, next to the best restaurant in Zante; Apollos.


General Comments

I stayed at Alykanas Beach hotel for 2 weeks in July/August and I can honestly say that it was the best holiday I have ever had. The holiday was superb right from the start to the finish. When we arrived, we had immaculate rooms, and the waiters introduced themselves and made us feel very welcome. We ordered food from the poolside bar and it was very good, faultless. There was a lot of variety on the menu so you could choose a different meal everyday. The pool was clean and warm daily, as was the jacuzzi and the beach. The location was brilliant, because a 20 minute walk would take you into the little village of Alikes, where there was plenty of restaurants to choose from, but if you didn't want to go to Alikes, a 5 minute walk would take you to the centre of Alykanas, where there was also plenty of restaurants. We ate at Dionisos for the first week, which was good, but then we tried Apollos, and found the best restaurant in Zante, never mind Alykanas. Although the food could take a while to get to the table, it was faultless and perfection on a plate. The service in Apollos was friendly daily and the staff were wonderful people. We will definitely be going back next year, and would recommend this holiday resort to any family trying to find a good holiday resort.
