Excellent organisation.
Ship well-appointed and clean.
Food pretty good in buffet-style restaurants.
Cabin spacious and plenty of storage.
Pool areas very crowded and noisy.
We really were cruise virgins when we went on a Villas & Vino cruise on OV2 in June 2008 so were unsure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised - the organisation was first class and our cabin was comparable to a good 4 star hotel.
The food was much better than we expected and the James Martin Bistro was excellent. The wine package option is a great idea - you can have a selection of bottles of wine delivered to your cabin (there is a fridge) and it's then available for pre-dinner drinks in the cabin or you can take it with you to the restaurant.
The excursions were of variable quality and in future we may do our own thing when in port. Can't really comment on the entertainment as we were so pleasantly tired from the sea air and excursions that we went to bed early most nights!
The highlight was seeing some whales and dolphins one evening off the coast of France.
We enjoyed it so much we're going again next year!
