We flew First Class from Beijing to SFO. The seats were very comfortable and since we were the ONLY passengers, it was heaven having the complete First Class cabin to ourselves. The rest was bad. The service was minimal to say the best. Very little interaction. The food was good but the portions were so small I thought the main course was an appetizer. The dessert selection was a joke - one small 'special Beijing' cake and nothing else. No liqueurs, very limited and low end liquor, no port or after dinner digestive and the wine selection did not exist. No special treatment for First Class passengers. Very bad. For a cheap flight without frills but with good sleeping and sitting seats Air China is ok. For the rest, it was better the business class but not in the same category as United or Lufthansa.
