Outstanding and emotional storyline. Wonderful rendition of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs and a deserved and long lasting standing ovation from a packed matinee audience. Ben Wheeler, standing in as Tommy de Vito, was amazing and we will certainly look out for shows he is in in the future.
Bad Points
Absolutely none.
General Comments
Simply the best musical theatre we have seen in the West End (and we have seen them all except Miss Saigon) with an outstanding cast of true professionals, not the usual crop of celebrity TV headliners. We were singing Four Seasons songs all the way home having not realised that we knew all the songs. We did not know the Frankie Valli story before and it was enlightening to know how the songs came about. We were surprised by the sheer joy we felt after fearing the worst from reading the tired and boring drivel from the broadsheet theatre critics. We enthusiastically joined in the extended standing ovation at the end of the show.
