Bought from new and now has only clocked 27K miles. I am convinced my Golf 1.6SE has a wheel bearing or drive shaft problem plus a real rattle when you gently accelerate. This was my first and will be last VW. Had loads of Fords from new and was unlucky to have any real issues in first 70K to 90K miles.
