General Comments
I've ridden motorbikes for years until recently I bought a flat so needed to sell my pride and joy (Honda CBR 600). I decided that my commute was only 7 miles and I was limited to 40mph on local roads so went for the scooter option. I have no complaints at all about the Aprilia Habana. I have ridden to Stansted airport from London and top speed was about 75-80mph on a long downhill. It felt stable enough on the motorway but i wouldnt do it every day as you need to keep the speed up around 80 mph maxed out these days all the time to feel totally safe around other road users. I hadto get the 125 and it's surprisingly quick. Off the lights it pulls away nicely and is very easy to ride. You can't ride it like a motorbike round corners due to the exhaust positioning but it handles very well indeed. TPFT insurance was about £150 for a year and tax is £15! A full tank costs £6/7 and lasts about 100 miles. Only small complaint is the speedo is in Kmh and can be a bit of a pain working out the speed approaching speed cameras. What else can I say - I love it! One bit of advice is don't buy one that needs work doing as it can be expensive. They're very cheap second hand anyway so dont be tight and pay a little bit extra for a good one or get a bargain on ebay like me. Happy riding!
