Holiday Park Apartments, Santa Ponsa Review

My family and I went on holiday to this hotel in July and was very disappointed and would never return again!!
Before going on holiday we had been on this site and read all the reviews and was very worried about what we had got ourselves in to...
We had read about the "rules" and the behaviour of all the staff etc, but just thought, we would just get on with it, as long as our apartments were clean and tidy, we wouldn't let it ruin our holiday.....Hmmmm
Apparently the hotel were supposed to be strict on rules, that couldn't be any further from the truth in my view!! I don't think this hotel is for families, we had two young children with us. We were given an apartment one level up from the pool, which was up one flight of stairs, not too bad... On to the rules...
"NOISE AFTER MIDNIGHT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!" We stayed here for two weeks and not one person in our group had a nights sleep due to people arguing, fighting, pushing each other in the pool, music blasting out. My boyfriend was down at reception every night between the hours of 1am and 4am for the 1st week, only to be told that it would be dealt with accordingly. This noise was consistent throughout the holiday. We were told on many occasions that the people who were involved have been thrown out of the hotel, but as the holiday went on, we came to the conclusion that this must be something they said to everyone who complained to make them happy!! At one point of the holiday, we were all very tired and decided to stay in and relax on the balcony, only to find the bar manageress and the hotel manager found it quite funny to push each other into the pool along with about 5 other members of staff!! To which we found horrendous as they were so strict on the rules!! (under no circumstances should anyone enter the pool after 7pm)
In the 2nd week arrived a group of around 20 lads, who were constantly drunk, drinking from 10am onwards around the pool, bottles were being smashed in the baby pool, which I found disgusting as this was an everyday occurrence. This Holiday was a disaster, and I found Santa Ponsa to be a very rough place, full of stag and hen do's, who mainly at the holiday park!! As you can imagine, the family was not impressed as I think it should be classed as an 18-30's apartments, and shouldn't state that is suitable for families, as it clearly isn't in my opinion!
The apartment itself was very clean and basic, which didn't bother us at all as we was only sleeping there. We thought the bar prices were extortionate, food was OK. The bar manageress - I have never met anyone who was so rude and bad mannered in my whole life. Thought the entertainment was diabolical, a parrot show and a hypnotist once a week. All in all, we found it a very disappointing and unwelcoming hotel. Please if you want to keep your sanity, I'd advise not to go to the Holiday Park Apartments.
