Good Points

The gun overall feels great like a real firearm. The grips are made of good quality rubber. I had mine for 5 years and it shot better and better with time.

Bad Points

The trigger was very stiff when the gun was new, but now after 5 years of on and off use it breaks really crisp, although still with a fair amount of creep in single action.

General Comments

I bought my r77 5 years ago and shot a lot for the first two years. Then due to frequent moving I packed it in a box and didn't touch it for a long time until recently, when I decided to revive my old hobby of air gun shooting. It was burried deep in storage and long story short, aside from some much needed cleaning it still shoots great.
Then about a month ago the gun wouldn't hold any CO2 no more and vented like mad when I tried to put in a new canister. On close look the o-ring on the co2 inlet was completely stripped away. Bought new o-rings from Gamo, disassembled the gun, noticed that another o-ring between the zinc action block and the brass inlet fitting was squeezed out of the gap and I had no way of fixing that. Put the new o-ring on anyway and re-assembled the gun. Of course still vented like a shaken coke can. After a couple of emails with Gamo, I sent it back for repair. I didn't hear from them for about 3 weeks, then today a package was at my door. Opened it and found a new plastic gun case with my gun and a tin of Gamo match pellets inside. They fixed the broken safety bar (yes the little plastic piece) and may have replaced the action block completely, though I haven't had a chance to test it yet. I decided not to put a CO2 canister on again without some oil on the inlet to protect the o-ring, and need to go to the local Dick's to ge the right oil. I paid them $30 for shipping and the work, worth every penny if they actually fixed it, considering that this is a discontinued model.
So all in all it's a very good gun for it's price, and Gamo service seems to be very solid in my case.
