I feel I received damaged stock which was of low grade and quality


General Comments

I bought 2 doors on the 24th July, after debit of payment I was told one door was out of stock and would take longer than 2 weeks to arrive, no problem I thought, then they both arrived within 7 days great but a little odd after being told one was out of stock. I paid £54.99 for each door as I was told by this company they were quality doors, they came wrapped in thick bubblewrap, once this was removed the doors were covered in what looked like a thick black soot really filthy, one of the doors was badly damaged in more than several places with huge deep scratches and very bad chipped corners, they looked to me to be fire damaged stock with all the soot and damage, very low grade and not quality at all. Similar doors can be bought in any B&Q store for £20 and are in perfect condition, but I was led to believe by this company that their doors were much better quality that's why I chose them. So I thought right this is not on I will get in touch with them to complain, I have sent email after email with attached photos of all the damage, but I have not received a reply to any of them yet. I feel badly treated by this firm. I cannot get my head around why they have not yet responded to my complaints, surely any firm worth their salt would try to put things right?

    I found this review helpful because...It is now the 18th August and still I have received no reply from this firm about the seemingly fire damaged doors they sold me as quality doors on the 24 July I have sent email after email but I feel as though they just do not want to know now they have my money. I think the doors they sent me are disgusting and apparently very low grade though I paid £54.99 each for them. I have seen better doors throwing out into skips. My order No is 2000219 this is so the firm can not say they do not know who I am and can't find any information about me buying doors from them. I see this is what they have said to someone who complained in the past.
