I had the worst experience with Wizz Air. On my flight across to Katowice I was delayed by 5 hours, spent a total of 12 hours in the airport waiting to board. Once on board the woman behind me kept kicking my chair, tried to ignore it till it became too much and told her to stop, she claimed it was me kicking my own chair. I am not the confrontational type so I tried to ignore her. Poland in general was a huge let down, very hard to find friendly people. When I came to leave my flight was cancelled with no warning, put on a flight the next day more than 24 hours later and not offered further transport, accommodation, or food. Again I was alone and had no idea where to go next. The next day I rang and they told me it was delayed, which meant I would now miss two connecting flights from London to Dublin, at a cost to myself. I rang again and they told me no longer delayed but cancelled, again. I got very very upset and tried calling every number under the sun none would go through the others would refuse to help me. I travelled to Krakow and booked a totally different flight with Ryan Air direct to Dublin at a cost of £250. I rang a third time just to try and find out a number for refunds and the woman was kind enough to tell me that their previous information was incorrect and flight was still running just delayed by 5 hours. By then the stress and trying to get there on time made it impossible, I was close to having a complete nervous breakdown. I spent three days longer in Poland then I was meant to, Wizz Air offered no help at all, and I probably will never get a refund, I missed two connecting flights, two days of work and cost myself numerous amounts in phone calls trying to fix everything. On top of that in the middle of summer, I couldn't sleep or eat from stress and worry and got a cold from it all. I will never ever go back to Poland and I will never ever fly with Wizz Air.

    RE: WIZZAIR. Hi Everyone, I have been fighting with Wizzair over the cancellation of flights from Katowice, Poland to Belfast. I have wrote to them around 30 emails, and sent registered letters to their head office in Budapest, therefore these routes are a waste of your time to forget it. If you really wish to receive compensation and to get satisfaction you must write to the AUC ( Airline Transport Users Council ) email address is: complaints@auc.org.uk let them know all details and send receipts if possible. This may take around 6 weeks, however in the meantime also contact your local Consumer Council, who will contact Wizzair on your behalf and try to negotiate a refund on your behalf. Next step is to contact the NEB ( National Enforcement Body of the country your flight was cancelled) for example my return leg of my flight was cancelled from Katowice Poland therefore I had to contact the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority in Warsaw). If you are emailing these departments, also send a copy of your email CC to Wizzair, this will keep them informed that you are not taking this treatment lying down. Last step, ensure that you let others know of your experiences with Wizzair by posting your story on multiple Review sites and forums. By doing this we are able to inform others about the terrible treatment that this airline dishes out to paying passengers.
