Juno2's Review of Attiva Fitness Club

- Value for money

I recommended this place to several friends after I joined six months ago. I was impressed by the range of classes, the experience and commitment of the staff, and the promise of consistent personal sessions with the same instructor. Around Easter one of the most experienced staff members appreared to have left, and now the second most experienced staff member is no longer around - and he was an excellent instructor, so where's the consistency? There are three permanent staff, all very pleasant and helpful, but none like the staff who are no longer around. Classes seem to me to have been cut month-on-month, oh except for yoga, now available on six days out of seven. I have nothing against yoga, enjoy a class myself from time to time, but there is not my first choice any more for classes - they only offer Pilates once a week, abs/core blast once a week, swiss ball twice, and low-impact aerobics not at all. When I joined, they offered one or more of these classes daily. This is a shame I used to run training courses for business people, and what I do is put on a programme and run it for some time before I can evaluate and review. I recommended the gym to several friends at first, but feel this is a shame. The gym has been open for almost a year so I think it could improve. It is encouraging to see from this thread that other Attiva centres are working well, I do think the basic concept is good, and if all centres could be just as excellent, I'd be singing its praises here.

I thought I would write in response to the reviews on this site so that you know we here at Attiva Health Clubs do read these reviews and respond positively to your issues.
I'm Craig Farman, Managing Director of Attiva Health Clubs. We are always grateful for comments both positive and negative from our members in all our clubs so thanks to all who have left us reviews on the site. It is only by having comments from our members that we can improve our service to you.
I am delighted that 5 out of 7 reviewers here have found our service to be a real help in their lives and am pleased that our approach to helping you feel better about yourself is really paying dividends. Our staff strive to provide a non intimidating, safe and stimulating atmosphere and they will be pleased to see that this is working.
Turning to Toyotamotor and Juno2 reviews these are obviously not so complimentary about our service and we are sorry that these two members have had a bad experience. We very much value your comments and we will strive improve your experience of the club.
I would like to invite both Toyotamotor and Juno2 to meet with me and our club manager personally at our Uttoxeter club so that we are able to discuss your concerns and look at how we can improve your experience with us. Obviously you both have the contact details for the club and by your reviews both use it on a regular basis.
Hopefully by posting on the Review Centre you can see that we passionately care about our clients and want to provide exemplary customer service.
Once we have understood your issues then we will post on this site what steps we are taking to address your concerns and improve the Attiva Experience for all our members.
I look forward to your replies and meeting with you.
Regards, Craig Farman
