Good Points

None - I will avoid at all costs.


Bad Points

Just about everything.
In flight entertainment could be better in my view.
Same goes for the communication.
I think the timeliness could be improved.
Found the accessibility of personnel to be quite low.


General Comments

Flew (eventually) from Manchester to Corfu 21st July 2008. Arrived 3 hours before (as per ticket) - desk didn't open until 2 hours before. 7hr+ delay - no further info all day - no Air Malta rep (apparently there is only one Air Malta rep, who didn't turn in for work - so that's OK then!!) The Swissport people wouldn't man the info desk and the manager refused to come out to speak to anyone. When I did track one down I was told this standard of service is normal for Air Malta.
Inflight - not a word about progress, video screen not working. I thought we had in-flight meals included, wrong. Apparently the plane was from Latvia?
We were worried about missing our transfer but no problem as the Taxi driver in Corfu said Air Malta is always late so he was prepared!
The return flight was only 20 minutes or so late departing but the pilot made the whole plane laugh when he joyfully announced that the scheduled stop at Vienna was cancelled!!
(Corfu to Manchester via Vienna - where did that come from!)
No in-flight entertainment, the ice for drinks was at a premium because 'it was hot and it was melting'.
That just about sums it up really.
I will not use Air Malta again, or Air flights Direct (booking agent) or XL Airways (all part of the same group on my paperwork).
Everyone we met knew about Air Malta - and who had a good word to say about them (except when flying to Malta)? nobody that's who.
