Good Points

The Leica lens is stunning - all the way from a wide 28 to 280mm tele.
Build quality.
Easy to use.

Bad Points

Slightly larger than some of its immediate competition, but it still fits comfortably in the pocket or handbag.
Slightly noisy picture when used at greater the 400ASA setting: but you can limit this to 400ASA in setup.

General Comments

Leica are famous for making stunning lenses and they chose Panasonic to make their camera around the lens for Panasonic's reputation for quality electronics.
It was a perfect marriage.
This camera fits between the 'point and shoot' cheap camera and the heavyweight digital SLRs.
Buy one and you won't be disappointed.
The latest incarnation, the TZ5, has a few more pixels and is marginally better all round.
