Good Points

Comfy seats, nice meals, friendly, helpful and approachable staff, early check-in of 4 hours (which opened even earlier when it saw people waiting).


Bad Points

On the return journey, my husband was sat in a seat over the wing where he couldn't easily see any screen. The only full screen available for him to look at was at the front of economy section which felt like it was quite a distance away.


General Comments

After booking this flight (cheapest July flights available) I was really worried after reading some horror story reviews. I have to say that after travelling with Zoom, I would heartily recommend them. Our flight times there and back (Gatwick/Halifax) were moved by an hour each way and we had numerous notifications of this. We even had a message left on our answerphone from Zoom mentioning this, and asking us to confirm 12 hours before. I've never had that with any other airline. The flight itself was delayed slightly on the way out by 40 mins, and we had to wait on the tarmac a while longer but it wasn't terrible. It was on time on the way back. During the flight, we had great films, a great headphone/blanket, etc, package for a fiver, really helpful staff and what I thought was a pretty nice meal by airline standards. Something I did notice on the way back, was a mum travelling on her own with a very young baby. I have to say I was impressed with the way the crew were so attentive to her, even when they were asleep and unaware, the staff were concerned for her and the baby. All in all, a very uneventful and, dare I say it, enjoyable flight. I never usually make comments on these sites about such things but wanted to put others' minds at rest. Zoom are recommended by us both.
