General Comments

Mamas & Papas Primo Viaggio Car Seat - I made a silly mistake buying this car seat way before my son was even born. I ordered this and the Pliko pramette from the mamas and papas website. I paid £150 for the car seat and then saw the exact same one at Argos for £50 cheaper!
I telephoned Mamas and Papas to tell them and return the car seat but they said in order to do that I had to pay a £10 collection fee and did not seem very helpful so I left it.

Then from the first time my son used the car seat on the way home from the hospital his head flopped forward in it. I thought it was not fitted properly so tried to reposition it a few times but it was still happening. I thought the head hugger provided was rubbish so I tried a few shop bought ones to no avail. I lost count of the times I had to pull over and try to support his head. In the end I turned off the passenger air bag and put him in the front with me so I could keep his head straight.
My mum told me how badly designed she thought the seat was and I remember arguing with her that it was one of the best and most expensive seats so it must be good.
I even had a crazy moment of thinking that the problem was my sons head!
I hated everything about the seat but continued to use it as it was so expensive and I had faith that it was a good name.
When my son was about 10 months old I bought the Maxi Cosi Tobi (which I can't fault) and started using it as soon as he was the right weight.
He's 19 months now and I've never looked back until now. Reading the other reviews on this car seat has made me realise the car seat is to blame.
I also have the Pliko pramette which I feel is not much better.
If I knew then what I know now I would write some serious complaints but think I have left it too long.

    I agree with this review because... I have experienced the same both with the car seat and the pram. Never buying anything made by mamas and papas again!
