Bad Points

Sometimes got stuck while downloading. But later realised that it was because of my expired Norton. Removed Norton and AVG was downloading properly from then on.

General Comments

AVG Version 7.5 is free. Simple. Seemingly effective. Caught viruses from my USB.
I feel if you have Windows Vista, there is no reason to go for a paid version from Norton or even AVG (version 8.0) unless you are a heavy, high risk taking computer operator. Avg free version will be enuf because, Vista is good and bad when compared to XP. I still miss XP's simplicity. Like a Nokia you start loving simplicity. But Vista has a firewalls and more layers of protection. Further Search engines like yahoo inform you about dangerous sites. So just be a little careful and you can avoid buying Norton, which was heavy on my machine. Even simple Word files were taking like 20 seconds to open! Protection is good, but not if it becomes worser than the problem. Like an Indian jungle story - A man brings in a two cats to catch mouse. The cats starts breeding and finally the guy laments - mice was more manageble. Norton further had this annoying habit of prompting every day, though I requested to be reminded only after 15 days. So trumps up to AVG. Good, simple. AVG is good. But I havent done a perfect comparison and am not a qualified to say a big good or a big bad about anything here. But I feel it is very good.
