Mothercare don't know what they are doing, ge capita don't know and neither of them talk to each other.


General Comments

After opening a Mothercare account and placing an order online, I received an e-mail the next day telling me the order had been cancelled and that there was a problem with my card. I therefore rang GE capita (who issue the card) who told me that as far as they were concerned there was no problem with the card as I could go ahead and order. I then rang back mother care who re-submitted the order, apparently with no problem The next day I then received a letter from mothercare saying that again my order had been cancelled as there was a problem with the card. I then rang the bank and after a 40 minute phone call, found that the original order seem to have gone through and mothercare had cancelled it, so I was paying for the goods without receiving them. I then rang back mothercare and told that them that the order had gone through so why were they not delivering my items. They insisted the order hadn't been authorized and would "willing to talk to the bank". How I get these two to communicate with each other I have no idea. Anyway I am now still waiting for the issue to be resolved, hopefully before my baby is born, waiting for mothercard and the bank to figure out what has happened as I sure as hell have no idea. In my opinion, don't bother with the card; unless you want to go into early labour, the stress is enough to get you there.
