Bad Points

Were unable to insure items over £2000 without written valuations (from within last 2 years). These valuations are not cheap and so although their initial quote was reasonable once the additional costs were taken into account the cost of insurance was far from competitive.


General Comments

I spoke with AIG and received a quote that I then chose to cancel, before the date the insurance was due to start. However as I had given my card details they still took the full amount from my account. Once I realised that they had done this I rang to cancel, only to be charge over £40 (around 25% of the total amount) to cancel.
