Good Points

Being able to get exposure for free.


Bad Points

Communication, deadline times changed without warning during the last day of competitions, flawed website (database and upload problems).


General Comments

Ok, it's free and you get the ability to get your voice aired for zero cost; pretty good up to now - however, when videos are uploaded (V slow) don't be dissapointed if only the first 45 seconds actually plays (this seems normal for most video uploads). The website crashes regularly, with streams of database errors (this is very annoying). I've been watching this site over the last 4 months and the prizes have been ok, from studio time worth £150.00 to a £50 HMV Voucher. Prizes seem to vary considerably and probably come form a result of the advertising on the site to fund them (nothing wrong with that). The biggest failing with this site (having been a competitor) is you get friends and family to register for an account (to be able to vote for you) and after 4 days of waiting (yawn), you need to email them just to give a nudge in the right direction to confirm your account and activate it. Now, if the competition is to run for 4 weeks, please make sure your family and friends register at least 5 months before you enter the competition to be able to get a response from the site admin. They are ridiculously slow in responding to any communication even through the contact us form. One competition (May/June) was extended by 12 hours on the day it was due to end which resulted in a very controversial win and demands for an enquiry. Obviously this will be impossible to clarify as all comments posted on their public forums have been evicted and no satisfactory responses were ever received regarding the enquiry. If you decide to enter a competition, good luck but be prepared to be very frustrated.

    I completely disagree with this review as I have entered the competition before and I have won a prize. Just seconds after winning they have emailed me, called me and send me the prize within 24 hours.

    Also, for anybody who wishes to use their contact us page they have replied to my email straight away. I have contacted them on several occasional and they have been extremely helpful.

    I agree with the video and database problem but for the Winning Prizes and Communication from their team it has been a great experience. If anybody would like to get exposure I would ask them to go for it without any doubt!
