Good Points

Comfort, V8 sound, pretty reliable. I've had breakages but only once called out the recovery van. Still no plans to change it, and when I do - I'd like another!

Bad Points

Thirst! Cruise control keeps breaking down. I managed to break the auto box, although that may be legacy of the first owner and not entirely my fault. Alarm system vulnerable to radio interference - got stranded at Heathrow when the radar messed up the security system.

General Comments

I've had my Range Rover for five years, and still love it - it's my sixth Rangie, and the most "economical" I've had - you could never get within sight of 20mpg on a carburettored Classic. It's always big enough to get big stuff inside, and makes towing really too easy - I'm inclined to forget a caravan on the back because I just don't notice it. Now showing its age a bit, but recent test drives of the latest Discos don't convince me to invest another £30k for something hardly any better than an eleven year-old car. Glad I don't have to pay post 2001 VED rates though.
