General Comments

Johanna Hehir was the third or fourth shop I had visited and was pretty disillusioned by then. Luckily JH was different. There was no hard sell, hovering assistants trying to get you to buy accessories, sweat stains or hoards of other slightly drunken brides-to-be being served champagne. It was peaceful and serene and everyone was lovely and totally professional. The process was also wonderfully simple. I walked through the door, the assistant looked me up and down and recommended a dress, I tried it on and it was perfect. The dresses aren't cheap, but I visited several other shops where prices were similar and they were like horrid, snooty conveyor belts. I also really liked the fact that the dresses are all made in England rather than being flown back and forth to China in between fittings - not the best way to keep your carbon footprint down.

I would thoroughly recommend Johanna Hehir to anyone. Excellent service from start to finish. The finished dress was wonderful. Although the skirt had 4-5 layers and the bodice was tightly fitted, I was cool and comfortable all day, even in the heat of Italy - the great benefit of natural materials.
