Bad Points

Inaccurate maps for Alberta.

General Comments

The TomTom Go 720 is my first GPS unit, and I really like it. The bad points are that much of the Alberta map is inaccurate, especially in rural area's, where it would be especially nice to find an address. Some area's don't even show up, like the rural sub-division I live in. The cities seem ok for accuracy, but even the main highway between Edmonton-Calgary is off a great deal of the time. In smaller towns you are often a whole block off as far as street locations go. I recently travelled right across BC and back, across the interior via the Yellowhead and back via highway 3, which goes through many small towns and hamlets. Not once did the tomtom show me off the road at all, but as soon as I hit the Alberta border I started getting off the road displays.
