General Comments

I decided to buy one of these off the internet after my Samsung Z500 died after drowning during a ride at a theme park.. The D600 so far has been a phone that feels good to hold, and if you are after a quite-cheap slider phone, get one of these. It looks, however, like the Samsung C300, although a C300 has no camera or any other features, for example.. this phone is an alternative at around a few pound more and has more features unlike the C300.
The good points are it takes some great photos! My Z500 had a 1 or 1.3 MP camera when this has a 2MP camera. It works better outside or in bright light, overcast light can deteriorate the clearness of the photos, works better outside or near a window. It can open Microsoft Word Documents from a MicroSD.. except the Memory Card I had with my Z500 didn't work in it..
This has been a problem. The MicroSD wasn't compatible and now I'm trying to find one that is compatible. I try to format it in the D600 and it is unable to.
The screen resolution is brilliant and the menu is well laid out. No need to use the manual when the phone can work with the keypad (1-9) or the control pad (up/down/left/right). The screen it appears after you have slid the top screen above the keypad has an excessive advantage in accessing an oncoming SMS or MMS message. Using the camera using this 'bar' at the left of the screen quickly is great for quick access.
The phone is locked. You can press a key when the top screen is down above the keypad and it appears locked unless you press the left softkey and then the right softkey.
The menu is set out rather like the Z500 but is altered.
Overall the phone is quite good with 80MB memory and is a good business phone.
