Bad Points
The engine is very economical but coupled with that goes very lack lustre performance; below 2500rpm the engine really lacks power which means pulling away at lights or into traffic either means revving it very hard and then dropping the clutch suddenly or dawdling away with other motorists looking at you irately. More modern designs of diesel manage to get the economy with an acceptable level of performance so do not buy this car unless you like sedate driving.

General Comments
Reliable and economical; mine gives around 50mpg. The interior is comfortable and practical but lacks refinement.
A nice, economical car but better as an economical run about than for high mileage driving (which is what I do).
