I shop at all three of the Funky Fish stores and found all the staff to be very eager to help. The more senior staff have tremendous knowledge and love to help with fishkeeping and technical questions.
The shops are always very clean when I have visited and the staff all seem to take great pride in what they do.
Recently I have started keeping reptiles which I am buying from the new funky fish store in Addlestone. They have some amazing species there. Well worth a visit.
Bad Points
They don't sell online. When I asked the boss why, he said its because they prefer to deal face to face with their clients, and thats where they can add real value.
It makes sense I suppose, my aquarium and pond have certainly benefitted from seeking their advice rather than just buying what looks like the right thing online from someone you don't know!
General Comments
These guys seem to have some nice traditional retailing values and it seems to work very well for them and their clients.
Every time I visit the stores there is always interesting new products that I haven't seen elsewhere.
Their livestock is of excellent quality.
All their stores are generally well stocked and most of the time they have what I need.
Nice guys to do business with.
