Good Points

Lots of choice- a large site and plenty to look at.


Bad Points

Not even a basic level of mechanical checking/servicing was included. The aftersales service was slow, uncooperative, no returns policy and no sympathy or interest in assisting and helping customers once a sale is complete. Do not buy a car from cargiant, please!


General Comments

I bought a BMW X3 from Car Giant. Looked it over, took it for a test drive (couldn't get over 20mph as they don't let you do a full test drive) and all seemed fine.
As soon as I got onto the roads to take it home I discover the brakes were juddering and any attempts to push it to 50-60mph resulted in a full loss of power. The air filter has never been serviced and the turbo was in bits (amongst other things).
Long story short, they sold me a car in an awful condition and in need of work, I have had to take 2 days off work (aftersales are only open Mon-Fri 9-5) to get them to do the basic level fixes they would agree to (e.g. just the brakes and airfilter) and I am left with a bill to repair the turbo and a car I don't really want as my mechanic reckons it wil only give me trouble from now on due to it's shocking condition and lack of adequate servicing. Even after their mechanics had made their fixes the wheels felt unbalanced. Cargiant just shine them up and sell them on- no mechanical care and no aftersales.... AVOID.

    I Bought bmw 530 d 98k mileage from car giant 09/01/09 i had same problem as you did ,turbo,waterpump,gearbox,rightside knoking noise and on ,and on problems as im a cab driver c giant garage saleman told me as a im cab driver i got 3 months warranty, i report all this problems to them ,they had the car over 3week but still car not complite road safety act .so im going to take car giant to county court,please can any one can back me up 4 this case,as your having same problems
