General Comments
Call centre staff refused to put me through to a line manager or head office. In fact they couldn't even give me a number.

You have to have a very good reason to be transferred to a manager. Your call is dealt with through a hierarchy depending on how much empowered (how much the rep is allowed access to the resolution steps/tools) the agent helping you is.
