The shop and the toilets/showers were clean
The camp site was average although the spot was infested with midges and I mean infested!! As the night went on my three young children were treated to a host of expletives from people that seemed to descend upon this site.
The bar was loud and already very drunk people were provided with yet more alcohol. Those that were not obtaining more alcohol at the bar were indulging in yet more drinking to excess in their tents and once again treating us to a barrage of swearing. Indeed, I believe air crews and fire fighters were called to deal with some of those who were foolish enough to swim in the loch in the dead of night.
This is not somewhere to go for peace and quiet and although some people may strike lucky when they go I would personally not risk it. Scary, frightening and obscene. I braved the midges at midnight packed my tent and left relieved that my kids would not have to witness any more than they had already.
