General Comments
OK, so we booked our Seaview Holiday Village chalet through a private booking, but the standard of the place has sadly, given the name 'Hoseason's' a bad reputation in my book!



On arrival at the chalet, we found the decor like something out of the 70's and definitely in my mind in desperate need of updating. The carpet was tiled and in places had lifted from the floor! The chalet had cobwebs everywhere, and there was also this horrible musty damp smell, that persisted, the entire week we were there, even though we kept all windows and the door open and went through a whole can of air freshener, to no avail. There was also no hot water for the shower! Just as well it was a hot week weather wise, and so cold showers didn't bother us too much!

One morning after getting up early and preparing a picnic to go out for the day, we were unable to lock the door. Subsequently, over an hour of our morning was wasted while we hung around for the site's handyman (a nice man) to try and fix it. He felt that the frame of the door had dropped and so had to remove the strikerplate, so that we could lock the door. Overall the chalet was definitely, I feel, not worth the amount of money we paid in order to stay there.



In terms of the site itself, the reception staff were very friendly and especially the lady working in the shop. The entainment at night was also quite good and, the Compere, works extremely hard in order to co-ordinate the evening's entertainment. The site also offers a good games room for the children and my son spent most nights in there, making friends. There are some lovely views of the bay as well. The indoor swimming pool was also good.



On the downside, the outdoor swimming pool was not very clean when we arrived and quite a bit of the furniture surrounding the pool was so filthy, it was difficult to find any chairs that we could actually sit on! There were also loads of weeds surrounding the pool, which altogether put us off even wanting to use it!



All in all, due to our experience, we won't be going back to Seaview again!
