Service. Good if you want to fly to / from Auckland.
Bad if you want to fly anywhere else in NZ from overseas, particularly Europe
Though I have been impressed with the service provided by Air NZ, the services does leave room for improvement. As the national airline for New Zealand it does not serve 'New Zealand' particularly well at all. One could be forgiven for thinking that there are no other centres with international airports in New Zealand other than Auckland where nearly all of its long haul flights arrive and depart. Fortunately other airlines have realised this and provide a more direct route to Europe for those not wishing to go via Auckland, and it is these airlines with whom I will be travelling with in the future. Perhaps it should be renamed 'Air Auckland ' as 'Air New Zealand 'is somewhat misleading.
