Good Points

Generally good value for money but frankly I would rather pay slightly more for a decent and reliable service.


Bad Points

My account manager seems more interested in encouraging me to upgrade my account than in delivering the service I'm already paying for I feel.


General Comments

I have been with Switchmedia since 2005 and although initally I was very happy with the service, they do seem to have gone rapidly downhill in the last year or so. Problems have included my website frequently going offline, my account password being reset without anyone informing me it seems and now ftp access via IE/Windows Explorer has been disabled. (I have yet to find an alternative ftp manager that will connect to their server so I'm now paying for a website that I can no longer edit.)
They also charged me last year for renewing a domain name that I explicitly told them I no longer required. The 100% hike in renewal charges this year is the final straw; I will not be giving them any more of my custom, since they clearly no longer value it.
