Good Points

3" magnum, fit and finish excellent and at 6.5 pounds not too light. Cycles all 2.5" and 3" cartridges. Simple to clean and assemble. Great on grey squirrels.

Bad Points

My 870 .410 I purchased new, imagine my surprise when no matter how hard and fast I pumped the forend after firing the first round, the next shell would not feed.

General Comments

My expectations due to the 870s history and reputation were high. I was very disappointed when I discovered the feeding problem described in bad points.
After much thought, I found the shells were snagging on the shell stops when they were cammed by the action bars, there was no way those shells were coming out. The solution, I ground down the inner edges of the shell stops with a dremmel fitted with a abrasive stone, problem solved.
Now this problem is sorted the gun is up to Remington high standards and would highly reccomend one.
