It was very enjoyable overall. The set and costumes were fabulous and as I had already read the book I understood the story without any trouble. Most of the cast were fabulous, certainly the singing, although some of the acting wasn't so good.

Kerry Ellis played Elphaba and, while she certainly has an amazing voice, she didn't live up to expectations. Half the time she looked bored or couldn't connect with her character. The price of drinks etc was high and it was difficult to book tickets over the phone.

Overall the critics got it about right about Wicked. The music is uplifting and the set, costumes and lighting is fabulous. The story can be difficult to follow at times, but I would advise going.
