General Comments

George MacDonald Fraser's, Quartered Safe Out Here is the greatest personal memoir to be written at the close of the twentieth century. This is a little known book but it is a great book nonetheless. Some men know intrinsically what is right and they are always men who could never be described as 'weak', George MacDonald Fraser is such a man.

His description of the sickening weakness and emotionality of modern western culture are worthy of being read and absorbed by all.

His description of an example of true courage exhibited by his comrade should be understood and considered by everyone.
