I have a 2nd charge on my property with KM for £10K, my mortgage with the main lender expired end of June 2008, therfore I had to find another lender, having succesfully found a lender willing to offer a decent rate in this so called financial gloom, I then went through the process of chaning mortgages. The new Lender required a deed of priority from KM in favour of the them as I was borrowing more money from them, my solocitor requested the deed of priority on the 20th June from KM, I had to send a chq for £100 for admin costs and a letter of authorisation for KM to deal with my solicitor, which was acceptable. We were expecting this deed of priority with a 5 day turn around as promised by KM, it is now 24th July and we still have not had this deed of priority, therefore I am not able to complete on the new mortgage. The previous lenders all being still the current lenders are charging me £52.00 per day interest until I complete. having called KM 25 times to have this deed of priority stamped and signed, all I was told is its with dept and that dept, this went on for 15 days! Whilst all the delay I am still being charged £52.00 per day interest. I wrote to KM this week, asking for thier comments and a form of compensation. I wait their reply, If the reply is not satisfactory, I will go to the media. if thier are any lawyers, solicitors reading this comment I would appreciate some advice, as this is totally unacceptable.
