Cheaper.
No help whatsoever when making a claim - I had to do all the work (phoning repairers, sorting courtesy car, contacting solicitors) and had to chase Hastings every step of the way for progress reports. Non-fault claim took 6 months to sort, leaving me £150 out of pocket as my renewal came up before the claim had been closed. Wrote a letter of complaint a month ago and still haven't received any response. Said I was a member of the AA when I was actually with RAC. Have asked THREE times for information on my current breakdown cover and still nothing. Staff don't seem to have been trained sufficiently to deal with any enquiries and all give different (usualy incorrect) advice. I could go on for ever. I would certainly not advise anyone to insure through Hastings Direct. It may be slightly cheaper than other companies but the service is appalling.
