Hotel and hotel staff were first rate but are totally let down by the flight
Bad Points
Flight was awful as were the ground staff in the airport and the crew on board. Never again!!!!
General Comments
Flight delay of 5hrs causing complete upheaval. Pick up was 4hrs before delayed scheduled departure. Airport only had manual check in which wasn't even open when we were deposited at airport. We had to stand for 2hrs going through check in. This delay caused us to miss our onward flight home from Manchester airport although we had allowed 4 and a half hours transfer time. The airline crew supposedly took our flight details and names of travellers which he told us he had passed to the pilot who allegedly contacted the ground staff to make arrangements for us. We were assured arrangements were being put in place for us. We contacted the ground staff who knew nothing about any of this and had no arrangements in place for us at all. They advised us to contact our insurance co who guess what were in fact "First choice". The airline did nothing whatsoever for us but left us to make our own arrangements to get home back to Edinburgh at our own expense. Even after 5 hr delay we were not even given a complementary glass of water and when I tried to purchase a bottle of water I was told there was none and this was at the start of the flight.
