Overall the gun is good. It shoots pretty fast. I am used to shooting 1000fps air rifles so i was in a bit of shock when i actually could see the pellet coming out of the barrel. Thats not to say it doesn't pack a punch though. I have had the gun for 8 days when im writing this and have taken 6 birds and a groundhog. yes i shot and killed a 7lb groundhog with 495. Accuracy is just perfect. Open sights are dead on up to 20 yards 60 feet right out of the box. Even better with a scope on it though. I am using a busnell 4-9X magnification scope and is great.
The gun is initially VERY hard to break the barrel. I called crosman and the guy said just hit the barrel really hard (thats great for the gun i bet). I have had it for more than a week and i still have to hit the barrel although crosman reassures me that this is normal and its just the oils ect. that need to be broken in.
Overall this is a great gun. The thing that really catches my eye with this one is the visual appearance. It is all black although some pictures on google images ect. show the barrel glistening and appearing silver it is black. The overall weight is 5.5 pounds so it is pretty heavy. Great gun though id recommend it. At 495fps and a .22 caliber its the strongest gun your legally aloud to have in canada with out a PAL/gun license.
