Multipoint pegging - brilliant idea!! Fluorescent guys - inspired!! Choice of front or rear entrances - again excellent idea! More height in the sleeping area - Guy lines on ventilated windows - keeps them open and you can still have ventilation when its raining without it pouring in on the inner. Supported hoods on ventilation points, to keep the vent open. Spacious living area with ceiling windows - great! Plenty of windows in both living area and porch. The pale green 'canvas' gives a feeling of coolness and light. This tent ticks all the boxes.
Had to trail everywhere to get one, they were sold out in every location we tried. Thanks to a very helpful company, we were able to placed an order.
This is the second Outwell tent we have purchased, the first one was the family dome plus, we loved it but made several observations that we knew would have to be met if we bought another tent. We had 6 wonderful years camping in the Family Dome but knew that if we were to have 11 days constant rain that we needed more space. The Hartford appears to have superseded the family dome tents, the equivalent of our old one being the Hartford L, so we've no bought the XL. The front and rear entry can make quite a difference. Outwell seem to be able to match Vango in terms of quality but they pip them to the post with their little extras.
